Back in Black!

Wooooooooooo! I'm back, Jack! Large and in charge, stylin' and profilin', jet flyin', limosuine ridin', SON OF A GUN! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

At the request of my awesome and beautiful girlfriend Gaby... FINALLY, The KliniK has come back to blogging! It's been very interesting to look back at the six or seven months where I blogged regularly. So many things have changed in my life, and some of the things in my blog entries take on a new meaning when considering those changes.

One thing I blogged about in many of my college posts (by the way, I graduated in 2007), was my quest to talk to and eventually date a girl in one of my classes named Sara. I never got anywhere with her, and my loneliness continued for another year or two, until the greatest thing to ever happen in my life happened to me: I found Gaby. Well, actually, she found me. She saw my MySpace and was impressed by the fact that I was a backyard wrestler (not to mention a good looking guy!), so she commented on my profile. That was the start of many nights of talking online, which led to our relationship forming.

Gaby and I were only able to talk online (and via phone, though neither of us are big fans of the phone) for about two and a half years, until she visited me for a week in November 2008. We had the time of our lives just hanging out that week, including a day where she defeated my "twin brother" Sir Buffkins in a match at MSW Starrcade XXVI: War Games and, later that night, inducted me into the MSW Hall of Fame. She would visit again in April 2009 for a trip to Houston to see WrestleMania 25 in person! We had an amazing week of wrestling experiences, including a "Legends of Wrestling" convention, two ROH events, the WWE Hall of Fame, WrestleMania Axxess, WrestleMania itself, and RAW the next night!

Gaby made her third trip to Lafayette in January 2010... but this time, it was a one-way trip. She moved here! After years of waiting, we finally get to be together in person every day! We even took another WrestleMania trip, this time to Phoenix for the 26th edition! We had another wrestling-packed week, including Axxess, two Dragon Gate USA events, an ROH event, the WWE Hall of Fame, WrestleMania XXVI, and RAW the next night, featuring Shawn Michaels's emotional retirement speech after losing his final match (a ***** classic against The Undertaker) the night before. We even squeezed a major non-wrestling event in there, as we attended an awesome Paul McCartney concert right after WrestleMania!

In the end, I'm glad that my failures with girls such as Emily and Sara, many of which are discussed in this blog's archives, happened. They left me open for a woman far better than any other... Gaby! She was definitely worth the wait.

As I mentioned earlier, I graduated college in 2007. I also finally left my job at CVS in April 2009, after five years there. I was promoted to Shift Supervisor in August 2006, but after a few years of that, it was time to try something new. I remained jobless for about a year, until I worked at a call center place called Dexcomm for three weeks, before realizing that's not really for me. I've applied for an open Shift Supervisor position at CVS, so it looks like I may be "coming home"! I'll keep you posted on how that goes right here on this blog.

One thing that has remained constant is my backyard wrestling career. There was a period of about a year and a half in 2006 and 2007 where I didn't wrestle at all, due to work commitments interfering with my ability to make shows. Since I was the co-promoter of MSW, this also meant that there were no MSW shows during that time. The funny thing is that I was one half of the MSW World Tag Team Champions that entire time. But at the beginning of 2008, we got two new talents, Da Kid and Derrick Night, that re-energized MSW, and since then, we've been holding numerous shows, and I've been in the ring a lot! On July 5, 2009, I successfully returned to the top of backyard wrestling, winning the MSW World Heavyweight Championship from Lil Ace, my first World Heavyweight Championship in over three and a half years! I still hold that title today, and I made one full year as champion this past Monday.

Indeed, a lot has happened in the past five and a half years since I stopped blogging on a regular basis. But I now plan to be active here once again, sharing my life with those who care to read it. I have updated the Hall of Fame, where I put my best and favourite posts, with eight posts from October 2004-January 2005. Starting this month, at the end of every month, I plan to add two or three posts from the past month to the Hall of Fame. If you're new to this blog and want to check out my old posts but don't have time to read the whole blog, read the Hall of Fame posts. They are all either well written essays, very funny posts, posts chronicling important moments in my life, or just memorable for one reason or another.

With new Blogger technology, I have added a few new features to this blog. You can now "like" or "dislike" any of my posts. There is also a new, more modern layout, and the blog archive is easier to navigate. I hope you enjoy my blog and all its posts, past, present, and future! Thank you for reading.

  3. Yeah, it really is interesting how my five years has progressed. Going full circle by coming back to the job I had before, but on the other hand, finally putting an end to my failures with women by finding Gaby.

I'm hoping you and Josh both become regular contributors to the comments so that we can have the fun discussions again. As you can see, Gaby also enjoys joining in on the fun. My blog is the best hangout place on the Net!

Nice to have you back and blogging again! Now Josh just needs to start his back up...
